Terms of Service
Section A: General Terms
1. Introduction
Welcome to MFT Brands – Management Group ("MFT," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our services, including but not limited to property support services, coordination services, and our partner programs. By engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Definitions
Client: An individual or entity that engages MFT for property support services.
Partner: An individual or entity that provides services through MFT's partner programs.
Services: The range of property support services offered by MFT, including but not limited to cleaning, lawn care, walkthroughs, and coordination services.
Platform: MFT's website, applications, and other digital interfaces through which services are offered.
3. Scope of Services
MFT provides non-licensed property support services. We do not engage in activities that require licensure under the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA), such as property management, rent collection, or tenant placement. Our services are limited to coordination and support tasks that do not require professional licensure.
4. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our Platform. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to use our services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are responsible for providing accurate information and for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and data on our Platform, including but not limited to software, databases, text, graphics, icons, and hyperlinks, are the property of or licensed to MFT and are protected by law. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
7. Privacy Policy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. [Insert link to Privacy Policy]
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MFT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
Your access to or use of or inability to access or use our services;
Any conduct or content of any third party on our services;
Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MFT and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of our services.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
Section B: Client Terms
1. Service Requests and Bookings
Clients may request services through our website, booking form, or direct communication. All service requests are subject to availability and confirmation by MFT Brand. We reserve the right to accept, modify, or decline service requests based on scheduling, scope, or operational capacity.
2. Service Scope and Limitations
MFT Brand provides non-licensed property support services, including but not limited to cleaning, lawn care, walkthroughs, contractor coordination, and minor rental prep.
We do not perform services that require a license under Alberta’s Real Estate Act, such as rent collection, lease enforcement, or tenant placement. Clients remain fully responsible for all legal and financial matters related to their rental property.
3. Payment Terms
Payment for services is due upon booking confirmation unless otherwise agreed in writing. For pay-per-service work, invoices must be paid in full before or on the day of service delivery. For bundled service packages or coordination projects, a deposit or full upfront payment may be required.
Failure to pay on time may result in delays, cancellation of service, or refusal of future requests.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling of any confirmed service. Cancellations made with less than
Section C: Partner Terms
For MFT Contractors, Cleaners, Lawn Workers, and Youth Partners
1. Independent Contractor Status
All individuals providing services through MFT Brands do so as independent contractors. You are not an employee of MFT Brands and are responsible for managing your own time, job acceptance, and personal conduct.
By joining our platform, you acknowledge that:
You are free to accept or decline job offers
You are not entitled to employee benefits or payroll coverage
You are responsible for performing your tasks to a professional standard
2. Eligibility and Onboarding
To participate in the MFT Partner Program, you must:
Be at least 18 years old (or at least 15 with parent/guardian consent and program approval)
Complete a basic vetting process, including a short intake meeting
Follow safety rules, attendance expectations, and the MFT Code of Conduct
MFT Brands reserves the right to approve, suspend, or remove contractors at any time based on professionalism, reliability, or client feedback.
3. Payment Terms
You will be paid per job based on rates communicated prior to each assignment.
MFT will provide payment via e-transfer or approved method within 3–5 business days after the service is completed and confirmed.
MFT Brands retains a platform margin for coordination and client management. Final payout amounts will always be disclosed before you accept a job.
4. Code of Conduct & Service Expectations
As a verified MFT Partner, you agree to:
Show up on time and ready to work
Represent MFT in a respectful, polite, and professional way
Complete assigned work with care and attention to detail
Report any issues, delays, or unsafe conditions immediately
Failure to meet these expectations may result in dismissal from the program.
5. Tools and Equipment
MFT Brands will supply all necessary tools and equipment for each job.
Partners are expected to:
Use tools responsibly
Return any borrowed items in good condition
Report equipment issues promptly
MFT reserves the right to charge for lost or damaged tools due to negligence.
6. Transportation Support
Where applicable, MFT will coordinate transportation to and from jobs.
Transportation assistance must be confirmed in advance
Partners are expected to be punctual and respectful to drivers or accompanying staff
Repeated lateness or failure to communicate may lead to loss of transportation support
7. Liability and Safety Agreement
All partners are expected to follow safety protocols at all times.
By accepting jobs through MFT Brands, you agree to:
Use equipment only as instructed
Avoid unsafe behavior
Work only within your physical and legal limits
You waive all liability claims against MFT Brands for personal injury or property damage unless due to gross negligence on our part.
